I used to be thrilled to see his long explanation on the concepts. For them, it’s the story that brings mathematical concepts to light, and communicates them. Numerical analysis studies methods for problems in analysis using functional analysis and approximation theory; numerical analysis includes the study of approximation and discretization broadly with special concern for rounding errors. This picture, of course, was like an ideal case, and the particles separated a little bit, but not too much.
