The city of Managua is one Latin American destination that you don't want to miss. As a result, Nicaragua is the second poorest country in Latin America and the Caribbean. In my opinion, they came around due to the war. Do I have to pay more for high resolution images? We recommend staying a few extra days to make the most of this exciting city. It should be of little surprise then that support for democracy has declined in every country in the region, except Nicaragua, in recent years.

Nicaragua may be a combination of nic-atl-nahuac meaning "next to the water" in the Arawak language. Indian resistance delayed the conquest of Costa Rica until 1561, when Juan de Cavallón led a successful colonization expedition there.
